This photo was taken at Chuck Brown's September 1952 birthday party. He provided the following caption.
From left to right: Jim Simmons who became manager in 1954, when Tubby Walthall left to go to South Hill, VA;
then it's Anne Butler who was the copywriter and music director (she programmed all the records we each used on our respective shows);
then of course it's me holding my birthday cake; then Tubby Walthall the manager; and I can't remember the names of the next two. The girl was the secretary, but I can't remember her name or anything about her.
( Editor’s note: The woman on the right was later identified as Gertrude Early who moved to Elkton, VA in 1953. She spent many years as a Secretary for Merck & Company and James Madison University.
The man second from the right is likely Vincent Scappatura.)
