Jane Gardner had worked as a news stringer for WJMA in the early 1970s before going to TV news at WTVR in Richmond and later at WAVY and WTKR in Norfolk. While she was at WTVR in 1975 she won and Associated Press news award at the same convention as WJMA. Here she receives the honor from AP Richmond Bureau Chief Bob Gallimore.
