"The Guitar Contest of the Century" was a August 19, 1971 contest between Bill Little and Ted Carroll to determine who was the better guitar player. The hat in the center belongs to Ted Carroll. His manager Hugh Darnell is hidden by Ted's cheering section. Bill Little's manager Bob Gregg is at the far right. You might wonder "Where is Bill?". The newspaper photo caption says Bill phoned in to say he had an appointment in Nashville. Ted was declared the winner.
