This picture was part of a large newspaper ad in the Orange Review. The caption read: "A native of Orange, Monty is extremely popular with the 'Teen Age' set and conducts his Teen Time show and The Orange and Blue Revue each afternoon."
In the fall of 1957 Smith left WJMA to study radio engineering at the Pathfinder School in Washington, DC.
